Hello,

Let me relay an experience I've had with this OBE (out of body experience) thing. Actually, this has happened more than once.

I had a friend, Robert womack, when I was in the army. It was he who introduced me to this interesting idea. I learned to be aware while in a deep state of relaxation, and use visualization to prompt the mind/body disconnect letting the mind or spirit or soul (depending on your belief) enter the astral plane. Well I didn't enter the astral plane cause i became quite frightened when I discovered that I had no control over where I floated. This is what happened:

I, along with two others were on guard duty at our motor pool. I laid down on the bunk that was in the guard-house and was (I thought) drifting off to sleep. As I lay there with my eyes closed, I watched some ghostly white cloud-like things float across my field of vision.... then suddenly, I fealt as if I were being shot up-ward like a rocket... as if I wwere blasting off... my soul was blasting off to outerspace through my abdomin... I actually felt as if I were flying upward... and, those white images I saw began to fly at me, past me also as if I were blasting off into the stars which I seemed to see as well.

Then suddenly, I seemed to be floating about the room and I saw myself sleeping on the bed. The door was open, and I floated outside and began to rise like a helium balloon. I became frightened and willed myself back to my body then felt my own breath on the back of my neck when i seemed to get back in my body... then I woke up..

I know this is a weird story, but it happened... maybe I was dreaming.. who knows.
